As a result, Mani was reportedly not happy, but didn't say anything and had decided never to work again with Bobby Bedi. This seems to be the reason for their not continuing with earlier decided projects like 'Mahabharat' and now 'Lajjo', which was to be made with Aamir khan.
'Lajjo' was bringing two masters of their field together for the first time. One is the master of direction and other is of acting and it was much awaited film by the viewers. The curiosity being how these two highly creative people will work together and the outcome would have been outstanding.
But all the speculation came to an end with the rift created between Mani Ratnam and Bobby Bedi. It is not the first time that a director has complained about Bobby's behavior. Earlier, Vishal Bharadwaj had also decided not to work with him after having a tasteof his behaviour during the making of 'Maqbool'.
Bobby Bedi should understand Mani Ratnam and Vishal Bharadwaj are not any Pappu panwala. They should be given respect. Even Yash Raj Productions will not think of ill treating these big names of the film industry.
Bobby will have to adjust with the directors otherwise he will have to find any newcomer to direct his films because no established director will accept this kind of treatment. -Sonu Anand
